Collaboration between public and private sectors in providing health services to drive Thailand Medical Hub policy.

International Medical Hub.

Strategic plan to develop Thailand into the International Medical Hub (2017 - 2026).

In Strategy 1 Enhancement of Competitiveness in Health Service Management, measures for Public Private Partnership (PPP) in the provision of health services are set. This includes purposing the guideline for health business projects under the Private Investment in State Undertakings Act B.E. 2556 (2013) and considering the project for private investment in state undertakings in accordance with the strategy to develop Thailand into the Medical Hub.

This guideline was derived from a meeting to present the guideline for the preparation of private-private partnership (PPP) projects in collaboration with the Center for Competitiveness Research, Research Center, National Institute of Development Administration, Bureau of Public Health Administration, Office of the Faculty of Medicine, State Enterprise Policy Committee, Thailand Board of Investment and Private Hospital Association.

This is achieved by promoting cooperation between the public and private sectors in the development of medical and public health service systems and promoting joint investment and sharing resources and personnel, especially in areas with shortages. This is to develop Thailand into the International Medical Hub through cooperation under concise and beneficial agreement for all parties.
