Supporting Documents for Notification of Goods Carried by Thai Vessels

    The Ministry of Transport has issued an announcement on the practice of ordering or importing goods required to be carried by Thai vessels, B.E. 2551 (2008), and the announcement on the practice of ordering or importing goods required to be carried by Thai vessels (No. 3), B.E. 2551 (2008). The announcements stipulate that the person or operator engaged in marine transport must notify authorities of goods carried by Thai vessels. In this case, the Port Authority requires the operator to submit a notification form at least 1 day before loading the goods for vessel and document inspection. The following supporting documents must be prepared:

  1. The original notification form for ordering or importing goods required to be carried by Thai vessels (Phor Wor-Jor 1) 
  2. The original sales contract or other document showing the acquisition of goods or purchase order or letter of credit (L/C);
  3. The original power of attorney, in the case of authorization to another person to act on their behalf;
  4. The original company affidavit;
  5. The original identification card;
  6. The original passport, in the case of an alien applicant;
  7. The original notification form of acquisition of goods required to be transported by Thai vessels (Form Phor Wor-Jor 2);
  8. Any transport documents, e.g., bill of lading, important transporting documents, inventory for vessels.
