Routes Compulsory When Carrying Goods by Thai Vessel Which the Operator Applying for Permission to Use Non-Thai Vessel Should Know

     Regarding the regulation of the Port Authority on the criteria and methods for permitting a person who orders or imports goods to be carried by non-Thai vessels B.E. 2564 (2021), if a person ordering or importing goods specified in the Merchant Maritime Promotion Act to be carried by a Thai vessel fails to load such goods onto a Thai vessel, that person must apply for permission to carry such goods by a non-Thai vessel. The application must be submitted to the Port Authority through Form Kor Kor Phor 01, together with the prescribed documents, not less than 10 days before the date of loading goods. The routes that are required to carry goods by Thai vessels are as follows:

(1) Japan;
(2) Republic of Korea;
(3) Taiwan;
(4) Hong Kong Special Administrative Region;
(5) State of Singapore;
(6) Kingdom of Norway, Kingdom of Sweden, Republic of Finland, Kingdom of Denmark, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Federal Republic of Germany, Kingdom of the Netherlands, Kingdom of Belgium, French Republic, Kingdom of Spain, Portuguese Republic, and Italian Republic;
(7) United States;
(8) People’s Republic of China;
(9) Federation of Malaysia;
