Procedures and Conditions for Application for Notification of Goods Carried by Thai Vessel

Procedures and conditions for notifying officials of goods carried by Thai vessels and approval are detailed as follows:

  1.  The person ordering and importing notifies authorities in accordance with Form Phor Wor Jor 1 or Phor Wor Jor 2, as the case may be, and attaches the required documents with certified copies, signed by the authorized person on all pages. If another person is authorized to act on behalf of the attorney, a power of attorney form or letter is required, with stamp duty attached. The notification form and supporting documents must be submitted to the competent authority at the Maritime Regulatory Division or via the website on the day and at the official time. The responsible officer inspects the completeness and correctness of documents and registers the application. In the case of incomplete or incorrect documents, the officer may request additional documents or request the applicant to correct or revise the documents. After that, the officer will register the application, compile the matters, and keep them as evidence for further investigation.
  2. The applicant may download Phor Wor Jor 1 or Phor Wor Jor 2 from www.md.go.th - Services - Forms/Request Forms - Print Forms - Maritime Regulatory Division - Notification of the order or import of goods required to be carried by Thai vessel; or the applicant may request the form at the Maritime Regulatory Division, the Port Authority; and submit it through the website.
  3. The notification under Form Phor Wor Jor 1 or Phor Wor Jor 2 is considered and the use of the vessel is inspected. If it is reported that the operator fails to use Thai vessels and uses a vessel other than a Thai vessel, the person engaged in ordering or importing goods shall be liable to pay a special fee. If the operator uses a Thai vessel to carry goods but fails to notify such carriage, they shall be penalized under Section 31.
