Five new "Mutelu" community tourism experiences

The Department of Tourism is catering to authentic Mutelu tourists by introducing new destinations under the banner of “Mutelu community tourism.” These chosen attractions are expected to provide tourists with a deeper connection to their life's journey, allowing them to experience a sense of accomplishment and fulfillment. The selected destinations, stretching from north to south, are as follows:

Beginning in the northern region, we have the Chiang Saen community tourism initiative in Chiang Rai Province. Here, tourists can partake in activities such as horoscope readings and worshiping holy relics at the ancient city of Chiang Saen, situated along the Mekong River in Chiang Rai. The activities also include releasing lanterns for good fortune and paying respects at Wat Phrachao Lan Thong.

Next up is Ban Mung in the north, with its four sacred beliefs prevalent in “Ban Mung Neua” in Maprang District of Phitsanulok Province. This includes the Phra Rodmary Cave, Luang Por Boon Mee Cave, Bat Cave, and the Luang Puu Shrine. If you get a chance, you can pay respects to enhance your fortune, both in work and luck.

Moving on to Sakon Nakhon Province, at the Luang Puu Man Monastery of Wat Pa Nong Phue. This location is deemed a university of Buddhism, featuring a pagoda museum dedicated to Luang Puu Man and his illustrious history, where disciples can pay respect to the sculptures of his 63 students to enhance their work, wealth, and fortune.

The community tourism initiative in Wang Wa Village, Klaeng District, Rayong Province offers an agricultural and cultural experience. The renowned legend of Luang Puu Kram, a Buddhist sage of the Borapathis region, is shared here, along with the blessed Yantra cloth believed to attract great fortune, ensure successful trade, prevent misfortune, and protect against storms.

Lastly, we take you to Keereewong Village, Lansaka District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, to immerse in the spiritual teachings of Luang Por Tuen and the magical amulet of Metta Mahaniyom (great favorability). Paying respects to Luang Por Tuen symbolizes faith, success, and the worship of the magical amulet, which is revered for attracting love and favor. It's a must-visit for those engaged in trade, wishing for prosperous business.
