Get to know the MRTA Pink Line
The Khae Rai - Min Buri MRT Pink Line Project is one of the Mass Rapid Transit Master Plans in the Bangkok Metropolitan Region (M-MAP) to support the commuting in the northern areas of Bangkok. It is a “straddle” monorail operated by a secondary mass transit or the first monorail line in Thailand, with a distance of 34.5 kilometers.
The Pink Line consists of 30 stations with a station structure that is elevated above the road surface. Station platforms are either side or center platforms, depending on the station conditions.
The route can be described as follows:
The MRT Pink Line’s original fares were set at the rate of 14-42 baht, the same as that for the Chaloem Ratchamongkhon Line, or the Blue Line, but the fares will be reviewed based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) and re-set approximately 30 days before full service.
The Pink Line (Si Rat Station - Muang Thong Thani Extension) has a connection point for the main Pink Line at Muang Thong Thani Station, entering Soi Chaengwattana - Pak Kret 39 and ending at the lake area in Muang Thong Thani, with an approximate distance of 3 kilometers, consisting of 2 stations: IMPACT Muang Thong Thani Station and Lake Muang Thong Thani Station.
