This article concerns the Retirement Visa or Non-Immigrant Visa "O-A" (Long Stay), which is issued to applicants aged 50 years or older and who wish to stay in Thailand for a period of not more than 1 year. 

       Once the applicant has submitted the documents and their qualifications have been verified, it is necessary for the holder to report their presence in Thailand every 90 days, as shown in the steps below.

1. When the visa holder enters the Kingdom, the immigration officer will stamp the permission to stay for no more than 1 year from the date of entry. 
   
   
2. When traveling to stay in Thailand for 90 days, they must report to the authorities.  And next time, they must report themselves every 90 days to the immigration officer in the area where they live, or if there is no immigration checkpoint, report to the police station in the area where they live. 
   
   
3. Self-reporting can be done by post, as follows:
   3.1) Submit the required notification form (Form TM.47), together with a copy of the passport page with photo and details about the foreigner and the page showing the latest arrival stamp;
   3.2) If it is the second report or more, attach the previous notification acknowledgment;
   3.3) Insert an empty envelope affixed with a stamp, and addressed to themselves;
   3.4) Send all documents via registered mail within 7 days in advance of every 90 days to Kor.Kor.1, Immigration Office, 120 Moo 3, Chaengwattana Road, Soi 7, Lak Si, Bangkok 10210. The Immigration Office will send an acknowledgment receipt to the foreigner for future reference. 
   
   
4. After staying in Thailand for 1 year, if the foreigner wish to stay longer, they must submit an application to stay at the Immigration Office. They must present either evidence of money transfer or evidence of having deposits in the Kingdom not less than 800,000 baht, or a letter certifying income or monthly pension of not less than 65,000 baht or not less than 800,000 baht in total per year. If all qualifications are correct, they will be allowed to stay for another year, renewable one year at a time.
