What are the duties of employers when bringing foreigners to work in Thailand?

      Employers or establishments that bring foreign workers to work in Thailand are initially obliged to notify the registrar of the foreigners’ employment and specify the name and nationality of the foreign workers and the nature of the work within 15 days from the date of recruiting them to work.

      When a foreign worker leaves work, the employer or establishment must notify the resignation of the foreign worker to the registrar within 15 days from the date the foreign worker leaves the job, along with specifying the worker’s reason for leaving. Except for notification of the dismissal of foreigners by the company bringing foreigners to work in the country, the employer must notify the registrar and the company bringing foreigners to work within 7 days, regarding an employee’s leaving the work. 

      In the event that an employee works with an employer to the end of the contract, the employer who deposits the collateral must send the foreigner back to the country of origin, and the employer must present the employment contract when the officer requests it for inspection.
