Obtaining a username and password and verifying your identity in online registration (e-Registration)

Request for username and password and verifying your identity in online registration (e-Registration)

     There is a regulation of the Central Company Registration Office that determines the process for registration and verification of identity to obtain a username and password to enter a transaction through the e-Registration system for business registration, either a partnership or a limited company, through the electronic registration system (e-Registration). This can be done in two cases, as follows:

1. In the case of an entrepreneur, a self-registered applicant, all entrepreneurs must ask for a username and password.

“Entrepreneur” means the initiator, director, partner, or liquidator who wishes to register a partnership and a limited company through the e-Registration system;

2. If the representative is the applicant for registration on behalf of the operator, the representative must obtain a username and password.

     “Representative” means the person who acts as the representative of the operator in filling in the registration information, submitting the registration application, complying with the order of the registrar, paying the fee, and certifying that the registration application is following the wishes of the operator, including certifying the identity of the operator who has registered and received the username and password, as follows:

Bookkeeper

  • Head of Quality Accounting Office
  • Certified Signature of Public Company Limited
  • Collateral enforcer
  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Member and Extraordinary Member of the National Bar Association

Request for Username and Password

     To request a username and password, the operator or a representative must complete and accept the terms and conditions and verify their identity, in order to express their intention to obtain a username and password.

     In the case of a representative who is an ordinary member or an extraordinary member of the Bar Council, a file providing evidence of membership must be attached, together with a request for a username and password.

To verify your identity, you must follow certain guidelines:

1. The entrepreneur verifies their identity by one of the following methods:

(1.1) Verify themselves in person with a valid identification card. In the case of a foreigner, present the passport or identification card issued by the Thai government agency that has not expired. This can be done at the electronic business registration section of the Department of Business Development, the commercial business development office in any district in Bangkok, or the provincial commercial office in any province, or any other place as specified by the Department of Business Development.

     When the officer checks the username and password and accepts the terms and conditions that have been registered correctly, a photo of the ID card or passport will be taken as evidence;

(1.2) Verify your identity via the electronic system (Electronic Know Your Customer: e-KYC) yourself via the electronic juristic person registration system (e-Registration), only if you are a Thai national using your ID card as evidence.;

(1.3) Verify your identity using an electronic certificate received from an electronic certificate issuer (CA) submitted through e-Registration;

(1.4) In the case of authorizing a natural person with Thai nationality to act on his behalf, some procedures and documents must be submitted, as follows:

a. Print out the application for username and password already registered with at least one authorized person. The authorized person and witness must sign the document and attach a copy of the valid ID card. In the case of foreigners, attach a copy of your passport or valid ID card issued by a Thai government agency.

     In the case that the information is incorrect, correct it first. Editing is not allowed after the request is printed.

b. The authorized person submits the documents and evidence to the officer and presents the identification card. When the officer checks that the records are correct, the authorized person and the identification card will be photographed as evidence.

2. The representative verifies their identity in the same way as in the case of an entrepreneur.

     Once the operator or representative has verified their identity and been approved, the system will notify the approval via electronic mail to confirm the “Activate User” within 30 days from the date of notification. If the activation is not confirmed by that period, the system will automatically cancel the request for a username and password. If you still wish to obtain a username and password, you must restart the process of getting a new username and password.

     A user's username and password can be entered into the e-Registration system as an entrepreneur.
