Criteria and Conditions for Registration of Aquatic Carcass Storage Facilities

Criteria and Conditions for Registration of Aquatic Carcass Storage Facilities

The Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, has determined criteria, procedures, and conditions for registration of aquatic product storage facilities. It is stipulated that the applicant must have the authority to sign and acknowledge the amendment of the application. In the case that the application form or supporting documents are incomplete or incorrect and cannot be amended at that time, the officer receiving the application and the applicant must sign the memo about the document error, together with the deadline for the applicant to take corrective action. If the applicant fails to take further corrective action within the prescribed period, it will be assumed that the applicant no longer wishes to submit the application. When the officer has received the information, the officer must consider and notify the applicant of the results of the consideration within 30 working days. (The period according to the first paragraph shall be from when the officer agrees that the applicant has submitted the application with the complete documents and evidence.)

In case of reference to academic work, the cited documents must be attached. In case of doubts about the evidence submitted, the committee or the authorized official must inform the applicant for further clarification. If the aquatic product storage facility applying for registration does not meet the standards prescribed by the Department of Fisheries or if any other defects have been found, the responsible officer must notify the applicant and clarify the solution within 7 working days from the date of assessment or the date of committee resolution. The process of registering the aquatic product storage facility is deemed ended without the registration of such storage facility, except in the case there is a memo, signed by both parties, to take the corrective action on the date of submitting the application. In this case, after the applicant is notified that the registration has not been approved, the applicant must correct the defects and notify the responsible officer for reconsideration within 10 working days from the date of receiving the clarification of the solution. The implementation period in the case of submitting for reconsideration may not have to be in accordance with the period specified in the Public Handbook.
