Announcement of Top 25 Voted 'Unseen New Chapters' Must-Visit Tourist Destinations

The result of the top 25 'Unseen New Chapters' tourist attractions has been announced!

     The 'Unseen New Chapters' are 25 standout locations scattered across Thailand's 77 provinces. The voting took place on the websites www.tourismthailand.org/unseennewchapters and www.unseennewchapters.com from May 22nd to June 18th. More than 547,710 votes were cast by a total of 325,967 participants.


The top 25 'Unseen New Chapters' finalists are:

  • From the Northern Region:
    • Tad Yai Waterfall, Phetchabun province
    • "Pasan" building, Nakhon Sawan province
    • Wat Phra That Doi Phra Chan, Lampang province
    • Wat Phra That Hariphunchai, Lamphun province
    • Chetawan Cave, Nan province
  • From the Central Region:
    • Manasikarn chapel , Saraburi province
    • Bo Cave, Ban Kiri Wong, Phetchaburi province
    • Three-Dimensional Tunnel, Kanchanaburi province
    • Phu Pha Rad, Ratchaburi province
    • Wat Thang Sai, Prachuap Khiri Khan province
  • From the Northeastern Region (Isaan):
    • Moh Hin Khao, Chaiyaphum province
    • Phu Bo Bit Forest Park, Loei Province
    • Pha Phaya Goopree National Park, Sisaket province
    • Ban Prang Nakhon Community, Nakhon Ratchasima Province
    • Wat Phutthawanaram, Maha Sarakham province
  • From the Eastern Region:
    • Koh Si Chang, Chonburi province
    • Wat Manee Wong, Nakhon Nayok province
    • Wat Hong Thong, Chachoengsao province
    • Wat Tham Khao Prathun, Rayong province
    • Nam Cave, Khao Siwa, Sa Kaeo province
  • And from the Southern Region:
    • Thamma Park, Khao Na Nai Luang, Surat Thani province
    • Kam Islands, Ranong province
    • Ko Kaeo Monastery, Phuket province
    • Hin Pabpha, Nakhon Si Thammarat province
    • Koh Tarutao, Satun province


     The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) anticipates these 25 'Unseen New Chapters' will become the new go-to destinations for tourists. This could potentially boost domestic tourism, contributing to Thailand's tourism industry’s total revenue goal of more than 880,000 million Baht in 2023. Furthermore, in collaboration with hotels, tourist sites, car rental companies, and airlines, special promotional activities and discounts for Thai tourists are being offered through the aforementioned websites.
