Five Thai Gulf Beaches to Visit During Rainy Season

Entering the rainy season from May to October is considered a low season for sea travel, especially the Andaman Sea. During this time, monsoons may occur and rain may fall in some areas, and it's also a period when some islands close to naturally restore the coral reefs. But it's not that you can't travel to the beach during the rainy season, because there are still beautiful beaches in the Gulf of Thailand, areas with good sunlight and beautiful skies, perfect for travel.

We recommend 5 Thai Gulf beaches that, once visited, will surely impress:

     1. Hua Hin Beach, Prachuap Khiri Khan

Hua Hin Beach is a popular tourist spot near Bangkok. The 5-kilometer long beach attracts numerous tourists and is full of accommodations, resorts, and beachside restaurants. Beach activities include sunbathing, beach strolling, or horse riding - a unique feature of Hua Hin. For fun, try banana boat riding or kite surfing.

     2. Sairee Beach, Chumphon

Located in Tha Hin, Sawi, Sairee Beach is a large, serene beach parallel to a line of coconut trees, perfect for relaxing, listening to the waves crashing, and driving to admire the scenery. Not far away, you can observe the simple lives of local fishermen. There are also accommodation services available.

     3. Bang Kao Beach, Phetchaburi

Bang Kao Beach may not be familiar as it's hidden in Bang Kao Village, a fishing community located north of Cha-Am. But it's arguably the most beautiful unseen beach. The first thing everyone notices are the palm trees lined up along the beach, contrasting with the sand and sea, making it more special than others. Importantly, it's also one of the most beautiful sunset spots in Cha-Am, with the orange light blending with the blue sky, acting as a backdrop to the palm grove, reflecting on the water surface, creating an indescribably beautiful image.

     4. Ko Nui Nok, Nakhon Si Thammarat

Ko Nui Nok, also known as Ko Luang Pu Thuad, is a small but fascinating island due to its natural freshwater pond in the middle of the sea, only visible when the sea level drops. Locals believe that this pond was where Luang Pu Thuad transformed seawater into freshwater to help thirsty sailors. For this reason, there's a respect figure of Luang Pu Thuad for visitors to pay respects and ask for blessings.

     5. Ko Pha Ngan, Surat Thani

Ko Pha Ngan is famous for its Full Moon Party, especially at Haad Rin, attracting tourists worldwide to join the party. But besides the Full Moon Party, it also has several beautiful sandy beaches to visit, such as Haad Rin Nok, Thong Nai Pan Yai Beach, Srithanu Beach, Yao Beach, and Mae Haad Beach - Koh Ma. Additionally, it features Namtok Than Sadet, a historical waterfall favored by His Majesty King Rama V, who visited it 14 times.
