The need to continuously create economic value while also preserving natural resources, livelihoods, and local culture is referred to as “sustainable tourism.” It is critical to promoting sustainable production and consumption on a global scale. The GSTC or GSTC-D criteria have been established by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council as preliminary criteria for tourist attractions to adhere to as guidelines for achieving sustainable tourism destinations. One advantage of the criteria is that they can be adapted to suit each locality. 

     Cultural sustainability is one of the goals of implementing the GSTC Code Guidelines, particularly in the area of “Cultural Object,” which is an aspect of culture that is tangible, can be touched, yet can also be destroyed, whether it is a house or a daily life item that reflects the positive values of that culture in the community’s life. The GSTC has proposed guidelines for each tourist attraction, enabling them to have appropriate laws regulating trade, trade, and display, and providing information to the public, tourism operators, and tourists; the success indicators can be specified as follows;

• There are legal provisions relating to historical objects that are appropriate in a tourist attraction, with the legal provisions, sections, and date of announcement specified;
• There is clear evidence of such legal information being provided to tourism businesses and tourists;
• Evidence of relevant law enforcement exists.
