Inspection of vehicles leaving Thailand via land transportation

     Individuals who bring vehicles into Thailand must bring their Tor Mor 6 document to be stamped at the immigration checkpoint upon departure. Failure to do so may be considered a violation of the Immigration Act of B.E. 2522. The individuals will need to follow these procedures:

  1. Obtain the required documents, including the Tor Mor 6 form and the vehicle notification documents, including Tor Mor 2, Tor Mor 3, and Tor Mor 4 for departure;
  2. Fill out the Tor Mor 6 form and the relevant vehicle notification documents on arrival, including the Tor Mor 2 vehicle information form, the Tor Mor 3 passenger list, and the Tor Mor 4 crew list. Owners or drivers of the vehicle must also present the vehicle registration book, an international driving permit, and, if not the rightful owner, a power of attorney letter;
  3. Passengers are required to present all documents to the officer for inspection;
  4. The accuracy and completeness of the passport or any document used in place of the passport must be verified. The information on the Tor Mor 6 form, including the name, surname, gender, date of birth, and the passport number, must also be checked in order to ensure that they match the information on the passport. In order to confirm the accuracy of the details provided about the vehicle, the vehicle registration document must be verified, and the international driving permit, as well as the power of attorney, must be checked;
  5. The list of individuals who are prohibited from leaving Thailand must be checked in the system;
  6. The exit permit in the passport or any document used in place of the passport must be stamped on both the entry and exit portions of the Tor Mor 6 form, with a signed and stamped signature. The entry card is attached to the passport (Thai passports only). In case of a foreign passport, the exit permit is stamped in the passport and on the Tor Mor 6 form, and any documents regarding the vehicle are kept. If the deadline has been exceeded, the process of calculating the fines will be conducted.

     The exit permit is stamped on the vehicle notification document (Tor Mor 2), and a copy of it is kept (for Thai vehicles only). In the case of foreign vehicles, the documents will be kept;

     7. The passports (or any documents used in place of the passports) and any other related documents are returned.

Notes:

  • In the event that an officer discovers that an individual is prohibited from entering the country under the Immigration Act, B.E. 2522, Section 22, the officer will notify the foreign nationals of Tor Mor 35 and remove them from Thailand;
  • In the case of a person who is on a watch list or is on the list of prohibited persons, the following should be carried out:
    - If there is a warrant or arrest warrant, the immigration officer will contact the relevant agency to take appropriate actions;
    - If the case is closed, notify the foreign nationals via Tor Mor 35 and remove them from Thailand.
  • Check the vehicle registration, the owner's name, and the vehicle owner information from the Polis system in order to prevent vehicle theft.
