If a person wishes to import household items, a variety of documents will need to be prepared:
1. Draft import declaration;
2. Passport;
3. In the case of foreigners who have relocated to Thailand, one of the following documents is required:
- Letter from the Immigration Office certifying that they will be granted a temporary stay for a year;
- Letter of permission from the Department of Employment certifying that they are allowed to work in Thailand for not less than 1 year;
- Foreigners entering as experts, specialists, or under government contracts, must present a letter from that government agency certifying that person is authorized from the Immigration Office to be in the country with a non-immigrant visa and will be working for not less than 1 year.
4. In the case of Thai citizens, documents showing that their domicile has moved, such as graduation certificate, transfer order, or contract termination letter;
5. Bill of lading/ Air waybill;
6. Invoice (if any);
7. Packing list or purchase documents (if any);
8. License in the case of imported controlled goods;
9. Duty exemption form;
10. Other documents, such as power of attorney or a letter informing the result of the immigration office checking the travel information, in the event that the entry-exit stamp is incomplete because the person entered-exited Thailand through the automatic channel.
