Hua Lamphong Railway Station improves the services of suburban trains, ordinary trains, and excursion trains

On 19 January 2023, the State Railway of Thailand (SRT) opened the Bangkok Aphiwat Central Terminal (formerly Bang Sue Station) to provide the services for long-distance trains to Northern, Southern, and Northeastern Regions, special express trains, express trains, and rapid trains, totaling 52 trains.

Bangkok Station (Hua Lamphong), which used to be the city’s main terminal, still serves as the departure and destination station for ordinary trains, suburban trains, and all excursion trains, totaling 62 trains, divided into 22 trains of the Eastern Line, 16 trains of the Northern Line, 6 trains of the Northeast Line, 4 trains of the Southern Line, and 14 excursion trains.

The trains serve from Bangkok Station, Samsen Station, Bang Sue Junction, and will take the elevated track to run with the Red Line suburban trains, except ordinary trains and suburban trains of the Southern routes, which run at ground level from Bang Sue Junction Station along the same route.

Passengers can reserve seats in advance through the “D-Ticket” app and online platforms, and they may check train timetables and ticket prices through the “SRT Timetable” application.
