Application for a change of visa type for foreigners – For working as a professional football player (Non-B)

         A foreigner with good football skills who wishes to be employed by a football association or football clubs to be a professional football player is able to apply for a change of visa type for working as a professional football player (Non-B). Documents shall be submitted more than 15 days before visa expiration in support of the application for visa or visa status alteration, which will last 90 days. If the applicant has overstayed their current visa, they are not allowed to submit an application for this type of visa.  


Supporting documents

1. Form TM.86, for the foreigner who has a tourist visa and wishes to apply for a change of visa type from tourist visa to non-immigrant visa: Note: “Football Player Trial.” 

2. Copy of passport (personal information page, last entry stamp, visa sticker, and extension stamp (if any)), and departure card (Form TM.6).

3. 1 4X6 cm or 2-inch photo.    

4. Application fee of 2,000 baht. 

5. A certificate letter of foreigner’s working as Immigration Bureau Form. 

6. A copy of work permit or an application form for a work permit in the case of changing the workplace. 

7. A copy of the organization registration, such as a certificate of the company registration, not more than 6 months old, or a copy of the license to establish from a government agency. 

8. List of shareholders (Bor.Aor.Jor.5), in case of a company, certified by the registrar not more than 6 months previously. 

9. A certificate letter from a company, association, club, or organization that confirms the hiring of the applicant. 

10. A copy of the employment contract (effective on the date of the application). 

11. A certificate letter from the Sports Authority of Thailand. 

12. A copy of an English certificate of the athletic association or football club that the applicant is affiliating or affiliated to in their home country or current country, which is approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the responsible agency of that country; this will be used for the visa application before entering the Kingdom of Thailand. 


Things you should know 

1. The applicant must appear in person every time. 

2. The applicant must show the notification of residence in accordance with Section 38 and must present the accommodation notification. 

3. The applicant must sign every page of the applicant’s documents. 

4. The association’s authorized signatory must sign all documents and have the documents stamped with the association’s official seal. 

5. For convenience and speedy services, the applicant for a visa or alteration of visa status must arrange and submit a complete set of documents in proper order and must use the originals as proof.
