Good news! The Fine Arts Department has opened the National Museum of Royal Barges, offering free admission until October 31.

Good news for those interested in Thai history and art! The Fine Arts Department is offering free admission to the National Museum of Royal Barges until October 31, 2024, to honor the occasion of His Majesty the King's 72nd birthday.

Visitors are invited to explore the exhibition and the history of the magnificent and valuable royal barges, which reflect the craftsmanship and wisdom of Thai artisans from the past. You can also see the royal barges, including the Krut Hern Het, Krut Tret Trai Jak, Ekachai Hern How, and Ekachai Lav Thong, which are elegantly floating in front of the National Museum of Royal Barges, on the Bangkok Noi Canal.

  • Rehearsals for the Royal Barge Procession will take place on August 22, September 3, 12, 19, 26, and October 1 and 10, 2024.
  • Full dress rehearsals are scheduled for October 15 and 22, starting at noon.
  • Interested members of the public can visit without any charge (open Wednesday to Sunday) from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
