Certification of Non-Genetically Modified Crops Grown in Thailand

In accordance with the declaration by the Department of Agriculture concerning the certification of crops grown in Thailand as non-genetically modified organisms (non-GMOs), as stated in 2000 and the second edition in 2012, crops listed in the attached document have been examined and certified as non-GMOs. The process typically takes five working days. However, we have streamlined our operations and reduced this turnaround time to three working days. In cases where crops are not listed in this declaration, they will need to go through the process of certification as non-GMO plant or plant products. If officials have any doubts about the documentation submitted, the applicant will be notified and asked to provide further clarification. The process duration, as stated in the public manual, starts from when the officials have verified that all submitted documents are complete and correct.

The necessary documents for obtaining the certification of non-genetically modified crops grown in Thailand include:

  1. One original copy of the applicant's ID card.
  2. One original copy of the certificate of incorporation, with the issue date not exceeding 6 months from the application date. The applicant must bring the original certificate on the day of application submission, signed freshly along with the company seal. All copies should be certified correct, including the company's objectives and its articles of association, a list of shareholders and managers, the certificate of commercial registration (if any) or the VAT registration certificate (Por Por 20, if any).
  3. One original copy of the certification of non-genetically modified crops grown in Thailand (Sor Tor Chor 1-2).
  4. One original copy of the details of the crop name and the quantity of plant products for export (Sor Tor Chor 1-2/2).

The applicant submits an application for the certification of non-genetically modified crops grown in Thailand (Sor Tor Chor 1-2/1), the details of the crop name and the quantity of plant products for export (Sor Tor Chor 1-2/2), along with all necessary supporting documents.
