e-Import

     e-Import is the latest procedure to ensure that importers or customs brokers can prepare Import Entry forms via an electronic system, instead of going through paperwork. Data and electronic signatures can be sent through the forwarder, and then all data will be submitted to Customs. After verification, importers or Customs brokers will be informed through the system. e-Import is as legal as submitting documents on paper, according to Customs law and other laws related to Customs.

There are four ways to submit Import Entry through e-Import:

  1. Submit by importers;
  2. Submit by Customs brokers;
  3. Submit by service counter;
  4. Importers submit Import Entry at Customs service, 1st floor of building BC-1.

     Importers or Customs brokers may pay customs tax, VAT, excise tax, tax for the Ministry of Interior, and other forms of tax via electronic banking, or they may contact the accounting department on the 2nd floor of building BC-1 (during office hours) or contact export inspection building CE (after office hours).

The process of e-Import is as follows:

     Importers prepare import entry according to Thai Customs standard and then submit information via the system. When Customs receives data for the invoice, actual flight, and air waybill from the freight forwarder, Import Entry will be checked with the Profile system, in accordance with the laws. If all data are correct, Import Entry will be paired with the manifest system in order to issue an import entry number.

     1. The Import Entry number will be issued automatically if all data are correct;
     2. If the data in the manifest system and in the Import Entry do not match, importers will receive the notice “Data is not found” instead of an Import Entry number.

     Importers must correct all mistakes and re-submit data. Importers must also check or change data or inform the freight forwarder to revise Import Entry to pair with the manifest system.
