Individual-based loan program for occupational purposes for persons with disabilities and their caregivers

The criteria for individual loan applications for people with disabilities and their caregivers, made in order to support their occupations, are as follows:

  1. Reaching the age of 20, or at least 17 years old and legally married;
  2. Being able to work;
  3. Having the ability to repay the debt with a guarantor;
  4. Having a registered permanent residence with an address in the area where the loan is requested for at least the previous 90 days;
  5. Having the need to borrow money;
  6. Not being a bankrupt individual;
  7. Having no history of defaulting on loans from the fund, unless it has been resolved for at least 1 year;
  8. Having no outstanding debts with the fund, or debts that have been paid back more than 60 percent.

     Persons with disabilities must have an identification card for persons with disabilities. As for caregivers of persons with disabilities, their names must be on the identification card of the disabled person, and they must have a certificate from the designated agency or person. Caregivers must look after those persons who are minors, intellectually or behaviorally disabled, autistic, and/or are mentally disabled. The caregiver must not have any debt with the fund and must have looked after the person with a disability for at least 6 months. 

     The loan amount for those qualified individuals with disabilities is up to 60,000 baht. If the loan amount exceeds 60,000 baht, it will be considered on a case-by-case basis, and shall not exceed 120,000 baht (with a repayment period of up to 5 years) and without interest.
