Group-based loan program for occupational purposes for individuals with disabilities and their caregivers

The group-based loan program for occupational purposes for individuals with disabilities and their caregivers requires the following qualifications:

  1. The group of individuals with disabilities or their caregivers must be no fewer than two members, with each member acting as a guarantor for the other;
  2. The group must have consistently saved money at a financial institution for not less than 3 months;
  3. Each member must have received vocational training and must possess a Certification of Completion, which must correspond to the occupational pursuit used for the loan application;
  4. The group must have certification of recognition from a designated agency;
  5. The group must have a clear and detailed plan;
  6. The word “group” must be included in the group's name;
  7. The group must have a physical location where their business can be conducted.

In such cases, group lending is available for up to one million baht (repayable within five years), without any interest. The lending process involves the following steps:

  • Submitting a loan application;
  • Having the information verified by the officials, who will visit the applicant's home;
  • Evaluating the application;
  • Giving notification about the outcome and the verification of the contract;
  • Signing the contract and transferring the funds via the e-Payment system.
