Pineapples

          are one of the economic fruits of Thailand that can be eaten all year round and there are many varieties of pineapples to choose from. If you like the sweet and juicy style and don’t bite your tongue, Ban Kha Pineapple is a must. Ban Kha Pineapple are Batavia pineapple. The texture is aromatic, fine, thick and soft, with relatively shallow fruit buds, and the taste is sweet and juicy without stinging the tongue. When peeled, fruit buds stick out to the peel. They are mostly grown in four districts in Ratchaburi Province: Chom Bueng, Pak Tha, Suan Phueng, and Ban Kha. These districts share a similar terrain and are situated in high mountain and plateau regions. There is a lot of rain from September through November; on average, there is 1,000 - 1,250 mm of rain per year. The temperature ranges from 13 - 38 degrees Celsius.

         The soil type is mostly sandy loam with good drainage, acidity - alkalinity of the soil 4.5 - 5.5.  The aforementioned climatic conditions result in pineapple planting yielding unique quality products that are different from other pineapple sources.

              Importantly, the Ban Kha pineapple has been registered as a geographical indication (Geographical Indications: GI) in accordance with the announcement of the Department of Intellectual Property, which contributes to its increased value and notoriety.
