Guidelines and projects to promote an environment conducive to moral promotion and doing good deeds

     National Moral Promotion Action Plan Phase II (2023-2070) is a guideline for creating "complete humans" through promoting Thai people's behaviors that reflect the values of sufficiency, discipline, integrity, volunteerism, and gratitude toward society, creating a society where Thai people can live together in harmony, based on the principles of religious morality, Sufficiency Economy Philosophy, good Thai culture, and a Thailand free from corruption and misconduct.

     The National Moral Promotion Action Plan Phase II also includes sub-plans to promote an environment conducive to moral promotion and good deeds that are appropriate to the context of Thai society. The plan is divided into six development approaches and ten project sets to support achieving the goals, described below.

     Development Guideline 1: Create spaces and support activities that promote morality and the doing of good deeds.

     Project set:

     - Project set for enhancing the environment in a way that supports the promotion of morality based on a new way of life (responsible agency: all sectors);

     - Project set for developing communities, organizations, districts, and provinces that promote morality (responsible agency: all sectors);

     - Project set for museums with a focus on the morality dimension (responsible agencies: Ministry of Culture, National Office of Buddhism, local administrative organizations).

      Development Guideline 2: Honor individuals, communities, organizations, districts, and provinces. 

      Project set:

      - Project set for searching, selecting, and honoring individuals who promote good moral character (responsible agency: all sectors);

      - Project set for searching, selecting, and honoring organizations that promote good moral character (responsible agency: all sectors).

      Development Guideline 3: Promote religious institutions as the center of communities and drive morality with the power of merit.

      Project set:

      - Project set for promoting religious institutions as the center of communities and driving morality with the power of merit (responsible agency: Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Education, and National Office of Buddhism).

      Development Guideline 4: Develop the potential of communities, organizations, districts, and provinces with good moral character, toward creating economic value through cultural products.

      Project set:

      - Project set for developing the abilities of communities, organizations, districts, and provinces with good moral character, toward creating economic value through cultural products (responsible agencies: Office of the Prime Minister, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Tourism and Sports).

     Development Guideline 5: Promote the use of morality for the conservation of natural resources and the environment, and the prevention and mitigation of natural disasters and emerging infectious diseases.

     Project Set:

     - Project set for promoting the use of morality for the conservation of natural resources and the environment (responsible agency: all sectors);

     - Project set for promoting the use of morality for the prevention and mitigation of natural disasters and emerging infectious diseases (responsible agency: Thai Health Promotion Foundation and related agencies).

      Development Guideline 6: Support and promote community mechanisms for fostering elder care.

      Project set:

      -  Project set for developing a community elder care system (responsible agencies: Ministry of Tourism and Sports, Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, Ministry of Culture).
