National Moral Promotion Action Plan Phase II (2023-2027), in accordance with the National Strategy and National Economic and Social Development Plan

     Many people question how Thailand can develop and keep up with the new world without corruption. The answer lies in developing people who are both "good" and "talented." The development of human resources is essential to driving the country's development. People should be developed in all dimensions to be good, talented, and of high quality by using morality as a fundamental value.

     In the 20-Year National Strategy and the 12th National Economic and Social Development Plan (2566-2570), emphasis is placed on developing Thai people of all ages to have knowledge and life skills (Soft Skills) that include morals as a component. This aligns with the objective of the National Integrity Promotion Plan Phase II (2566-2570), which is a continuation of the National Integrity Promotion Plan Phase I (2559-2565). The goal is to promote behavior that reflects morals and to move towards a society of integrity, based on religious and philosophical principles, the Sufficiency Economy, and the beautiful Thai culture.

     The plan aims to make Thailand free from corruption and misconduct and to develop the country's stability in terms of morality, with morality as a fundamental principle to uphold and practice. Additionally, it aims to develop morals in Thai society to appear clearly and concretely sustainable.

Behaviors that reflect morality include the following:

     - Sufficiency: living a moderate life, not being greedy, not exploiting others, society, or the environment, using knowledge comprehensively and creating resilience to survive various crises;

     - Discipline: following the professional code of ethics of one’s organization and of society, being a good citizen and respecting the law, as well as preventing harmful impacts and taking responsibility for one’s impacts on society and the environment;

     - Integrity: being honest, straightforward, steadfast in maintaining truth, correctness, and fairness, not supporting, cooperating, or accepting any form of corruption, and being ready to resist it in all forms.

     - Volunteerism: giving and sacrificing personal benefits for the common good, helping to preserve all resources for the benefit of everyone and society;

     - Respect: acknowledging and expressing gratitude and reverence for the land, nature, institutions, and those who deserve it, including fathers, mothers, elders, teachers, etc. It does not necessarily have to be material things, but could be actions or sincere feelings, based on the foundation of goodness and beauty.
