Thailand is a destination for global travelers. In most cases, staying in Thailand requires a visa, depending on the purpose and length of the stay. However, in many cases, proof of nationality is also required. In the case of foreigners entering the country illegally, especially foreigners from Myanmar, Laos, and Cambodia, the Cabinet previously granted them temporary stay in the Kingdom while waiting for repatriation; two groups – laborers and house servants, with a pink work permit – were changed from the status of illegal foreign workers to legal immigrant workers. Their nationality must be approved with a document certifying their status from the country's officials before obtaining a work permit in the form of a green card to be used as a document for applying for a work permit. In the case of other foreigners in general, the application for a stay in Thailand in case of proof of nationality verification is as follows:
