Ban Non Lan Pumping Station Project: An Agricultural Innovation Transforming the Community's Future

The Ban Non Lan Electric Pumping Station and Water Distribution System project is one of the royal initiatives originally conceived by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great in 2016. The goal was to assist local residents in areas suffering from water shortages for consumption and agriculture.

His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn has continued this royal legacy of providing water resources to the people. The Royal Irrigation Department has constructed an electric pumping station equipped with a centrifugal pump capable of pumping 0.2 cubic meters per second. The system includes a network of durable steel pipes stretching over 4,160 meters with 29 water distribution points.

Currently, this project benefits residents from five villages: Ban Non Lan (Village No. 4), Ban Bu Si Siat (Village No. 1), Ban Non Thawon (Village No. 2), Ban Banet Suwan (Village No. 5), and Ban Nong Hoy Pang (Village No. 6), covering a total of 1,221 households, or approximately 4,631 people. It ensures sufficient water for both agricultural use and daily consumption.

The project supports irrigation for up to 2,500 rai (approximately 988 acres) of farmland during the rainy season and 300 rai (approximately 118 acres) in the dry season. This initiative not only improves the quality of life for the local population but also continues the royal legacy of sustainable water resource management for the community.
