How important is a passport?

Tourists should know – A passport is more than just a travel document.

1. A passport is the same as an ID card – but much more.
A passport acts as a legally valid identification document. It can be used for marriage registration, buying-selling real estate, buying SIM cards, exchanging money, etc., as a passport contains important information such as marital status, residence, relocation registration, and more, included in one document.

2. A passport is necessary when you buy duty-free products.
Many countries have policies to promote economic growth with great promotions to attract tourists, such as buying duty-free products, with the condition that, when you pay, your passport must be shown to confirm that you are a foreign tourist.

3. A passport is used to buy tickets for travel at special prices.
In some countries, tickets are available at great discounts for foreign tourists. These tickets can be booked before traveling, and when it comes time to pick up the tickets, don't forget to show your passport to confirm that you are a foreign tourist.

4. A passport is an electronic travel logbook.
In addition to the visible information, such as photo, date of birth, place of birth, nationality, and stamps you get when you enter or leave different countries, your passport is also embedded with computer chips that store all of your travel history. It can be said that a passport is an indispensable personal electronic travel logbook.
