 Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC).

Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) project is a large investment to enhance the country's development. The key or the project is to invest in building a complete transport and logistics network, connecting roads, rail systems, ships, and air to connect Bangkok from urban to regional.

The government has set a pilot target area in 3 provinces in the eastern region including Chachoengsao, Chonburi, and Rayong be invested in infrastructure development such as transportation systems to increase competitiveness, reduce travel time, save shipping costs, and connect the raveling route by land, water, and air seamlessly.

Developing water transportation by accelerating the development of the port Both large ports and deep sea ports, such as the development of Laem Chabang Port Phase 3 to accommodate the increasing demand for international sea freight in the future. The construction of a deep sea pier and other facilities will be undertaken. To prepare for the expansion of the volume of ships and various types of cargo and the Map Ta Phut Industrial Port Development Project Phase 3 to support the transportation of natural gas and liquid raw materials for the petrochemical industry.

In terms of rail transport, there is an eastern high-speed train, the high-speed train links between the 3 airports, which once completed will be able to connect CLMV countries (Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam) with China, Malaysia, Singapore, and also links to other regions around the world. The link between three airports will be linked to the Thai-Chinese high-speed railway and the upcoming Southern Thai high-speed railway.

There is also an feasibility study of developing a rail system by building a railway network to cover and link the area throughout the country, supporting both travel and seamless continuous transport (R-Map), whether it is the development and improvement of the existing railway network, construct a dual-track railway and new route, as well as the development of signaling and telecommunication systems.
