Procedure for opening a T-VER Credit account
Before trading carbon credits (TVERs), project developers or those wishing to trade carbon credits must open a T-VER Credit account with Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization) (TGO) by submitting the following documents to TGO.
In the case of a general person:
1) Letter of intent to open a T-VER Credit account by specifying the email address that you want to use in the system;
2) Copy of ID card or passport.
In the case of a juristic person:
1) Letter of intent to open a T-VER Credit account by specifying the email address that you want to use in the system;
2) Name, address, and juristic person certificate issued by the Department of Business Development, Ministry of Commerce issued by the registrar, certified within the last three months;
3) Power of attorney (system user);
4) Copy of ID card or passport of the person with power of attorney;
5) Copy of ID card or passport of the attorney;
6) Certificate of employment issued by the company.
In the case of a government agency, government organization, state enterprise, or government agency:
1) Letter of intent to open a T-VER Credit account by specifying the email address that you want to use in the system;
2) Name, address, and a copy of the legal act or relevant evidence showing the establishment of the agency;
3) Power of attorney (system user);
4) Copy of ID card or passport of the person with power of attorney;
5) Copy of ID card or passport of the attorney.
Note: If individuals, juristic persons, or government agencies, government organizations, state enterprises, and government agencies want to appoint TGO administrators to act as their representatives in conducting transactions in the T-VER Registry, they must prepare a letter of intent specifying TGO to act on behalf of the company, which should be attached to documents requesting account opening.
