Promotion of technology in the production of products for development of the agricultural sector under the BCG model

       Owing to the limited availability of agricultural resources, aging agricultural workers, and the variability of the weather, the practice of agriculture must be modified for the use of new technologies to raise the level of activities from breeding, cultivation, and processing, to marketing, higher production, value increase, and sustainability. There is a variety of mechanisms to promote technology and innovation in the agricultural sector under the BCG model, as follows:

 - To establish an innovation fund for co-investment in research and development of technology with the private sector, including a license to accelerate the development of agricultural technology;

 - To organize a comprehensive agricultural development program through the Research and Cultural Fund Administration and Management Unit, aimed at promoting the use of modern technology for breeding;

 - To attract investments from leading companies in modern agricultural technology;

 - To develop the agricultural innovation district with an inspiring ecosystem arrangement and creativity;

 - To support the operations of agencies responsible for genetic storage, especially with regard to plants and economic animals;

 - To unlock obstacles to legislation and develop clear guidelines covering laws related to research and development in technology.
