When a personal vehicle from outside Thailand is used for traveling, there is a time limit specified by the Immigration Bureau. Upon the expiration of the time-limit, the owner of the vehicle or the person who imported it will must re-export it by notifying the Customs Department, with the procedures as follows:
1. The exporters must present the simplified customs declaration form issued upon importation of the vehicle to customs officials at the port of exit;
2. The customs officials check the vehicle and the passengers' accompanying baggage. When inspection is completed, the official will record the re-export of the vehicle in the computer system and withdraw the bond insurance that the importer made with the Customs Department when it was imported (in the case of cash or bank guarantee).
