Celebrating His Majesty the King's Glorious Reign Through 10 Key Projects Aimed at Sustainability and the Happiness of the Thai People

On the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King’s 72nd birthday on July 28, 2024, the government has launched 10 commemorative projects focused on sustainability and the happiness of people across the country. These initiatives include expanding green spaces, addressing drought issues, and enhancing the quality of life for Thai citizens. These projects are a collective effort from all sectors to honor His Majesty and bring prosperity to the Kingdom of Thailand. The 10 projects are as follows:

  1. Bueng Nong Bon Park and 72 Pocket Parks Enhancement Project: Expanding green spaces in Bangkok and its vicinity, providing the public with more access to nearby recreational areas, thereby improving health and well-being.
  2. 72 Million Trees Reforestation Project: Mobilizing volunteers to plant trees, restore nature's abundance, and create fresh air for the people.
  3. 72 Groundwater Sources Project to Solve Drought: Increasing groundwater sources across the country to ensure year-round water availability for consumption and to reduce drought risks  sustainably.
  4. 10 Beautiful Canals, Clear Water, Happy Thai People Project: Revitalizing deteriorating canals, improving the quality of life for residents along the waterways, with pilot initiatives in Bangkok and other provinces.
  5. 72 Sustainable Waterways Project: Dredging canals and reservoirs in 72 locations to increase water storage capacity, manage water resources, and address drought issues sustainably.
  6. 72 Hospitals and Primary Care Units Upgrade Project: Expanding medical services, reducing overcrowding, and wait times to provide better healthcare for the public.
    Livelihood, Farmland, and Housing Quality Improvement Project: Allocating 72,000 rai of land and repairing homes for the disabled and underprivileged.
  7. 10,000,000 CC Blood Donation Project: Mobilizing volunteers nationwide to donate blood to the Thai Red Cross, ensuring a sufficient blood supply for hospitals across the country.
  8. 72,000 Assistive Devices for the Disabled Project: Providing mobility aids to people with disabilities, helping them regain independence and equality in daily life.
  9. Unified Hearts, Clean Water for Schools Project: Improving water quality in schools nationwide to ensure students have access to clean and safe drinking water.

These 10 projects not only honor His Majesty the King but also focus on creating sustainability and happiness for people across the country. This comprehensive development will lay a strong foundation for Thailand's future, enabling our nation to move forward toward sustainable prosperity.
