Creative Tourism: Batik Cloth at Khao Yao Noi in Phang Nga

Phang Nga is another tourist destination where there are many beautiful natural resources, such as Similan Island, Yao Noi Island, Yao Yai Island, Kai Island, Kai Maew Island, and the Surin Islands.

On and around these islands, besides diving, there are many more creative activities for you to do. For example, at Khao Yao Noi, you can learn how to make batik cloth as well as other handmade items that are made from natural threads, such as muslin cloth, grass cloth, and cotton cloth. The patterns on batik cloth represent mainly nature. The most popular one portrays hornbills, which is the local bird at Khao Yao Noi.

Batik fabric from Khao Yao Noi is very popular. It is used to make handkerchiefs, T-shirts, scarves, and pillowcases, or put in a frame to make a decoration. This is another activity option for tourists to do while on the island, and they can take back some souvenirs as well.
