Ban Ta Din Daeng is a natural conservation tourism village where you can learn about the lifestyle of people in the village, which is on a cape and surrounded by a dense mangrove forest. Even though this area once encountered a severe natural disaster during the tsunami in 2004, the damage was not as bad as in other places, thanks to the forest.
That is the reason why the villagers came together to recover and preserve the mangrove forest, as well as developing the area into a preservation tourism community in terms of nature, culture, and lifestyle.
The activity that the tourists enjoy the most is kayaking through the mangrove forest because they get to see up close the forest and local fishing for food and for sale. Serrated mud crabs are valuable, so the villagers don't use fishing tools that are harmful to the aquatic creatures, because the forest is important to them.
Moreover, you can cruise or dive to see the coral reef, swim, sunbathe on the beach, watch how fishermen fish in the shallow water (a form of pisciculture with floating baskets), oyster farming, and Gracilaria fish farming.
