Opportunity for business: Workation travel lifestyle

      This phrase, which combines the words “work” and “vacation,” represents a new trend in tourism. It is based on the idea that some people can work anywhere, with freedom, and are not confined to their workplace. It is clear that during the COVID-19 period, a lot of people have grown accustomed to working from home, which became a foundation that gives some of us the freedom to decide to change the workplace.

      Consequently, the tourists in this group will be diverse, ranging in age from school age to working age, that is, from Gen Z to Gen X, as well as business groups, and they will journey for longer than five days.

      These tourists favor dining out, visiting popular sites, and taking cultural tours. They favor staying in 4-5 star hotels with cutting-edge amenities and individualized services (Personalization).

      In the past, the Tourism Authority of Thailand had a similar campaign, “Working Thailand, Working and Traveling Together to Help the Nation,” which was promoted as a journey of working people traveling through tourism routes based on their special interests, experiencing the charm of culture and ancient sites throughout Thailand, relaxing, enhancing their health, having fun with new experiences and team-building, able to bond personnel in the company by participating in community tourism activities.
