Seven Spectacular Destinations for the Rainy Season

     As we step into the green season, also known as the rainy season, nature lovers definitely have this time of year marked on their calendars. Why, you ask? Because it's the perfect time to enjoy the lush, verdant beauty of the outdoors. Here, we have compiled a list of seven travel destinations to explore during the rainy season. The weather is great, the natural scenery is breathtaking, and if you haven't yet decided where to go, prepare to pack your bags and follow our guide.

- Ban Phamon, Chiang Mai - Nestled amidst rolling hills, this village hides the stunning beauty of tiered rice paddies. It's home to the Pga K'nyau tribe. 

- Sapan, Nan Province - This small village may seem modest, but it's rich with natural beauty. Sapan is a tiny community set in the heart of the mountains, with a stream running through it. During the rainy season, you can also enjoy the verdant views of rice paddies. 

- Thung Salaeng Luang National Park,  Phetchabun - Also known as Thailand's Savannah, it's the country's third-largest national park, covering areas in Phetchabun and Phitsanulok provinces. It's abundant with breathtaking natural beauty, making it a fantastic spot to visit during the rainy and cold seasons.

- Pai, Mae Hong Son - Pai is one of the larger districts in the northern part of the province. Known for its natural beauty, one of the most popular spots in Pai is Pang Oung, a flat valley surrounded by mountains with Doi Mae Ya as the highest peak, reaching about 2,005 meters.

- Pa Bong Piang, Chiang Mai - If you're looking for a breath of fresh air, this is the place to be. It's located in the midst of nature and offers million-dollar views of tiered rice fields. Plus, you can enjoy a panoramic 360-degree view of the complex highlands in Mae Chaem district, Chiang Mai Province. 

- Su Tong Pae Bridge, Mae Hong Son - The longest bamboo bridge in Thailand and a new landmark for travelers and photographers alike. With its picturesque beauty, you can capture stunning photos that vary with each season. During the rainy season, the rice fields below turn lush green. 

  • Rice Terraces, Ban Li Khai, Chiang Rai - This place is a beautifully conserved natural attraction. It's a small valley with a cool stream flowing from the mountains. Accessible only on foot or by motorcycle, the community has come together to develop the area into a tourist spot.
