Thailand Issues Travel Advisory Amid Thai–Cambodia Border Unrest; Other Parts of Thailand Remain Safe

The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand is advising travelers to monitor the situation along the Thai-Cambodian border and check their flights due to ongoing unrest between the two countries.
🔹 Thai citizens traveling between Thailand and Cambodia should follow guidance from the Royal Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh.
🔹 Airlines may switch to larger aircraft to accommodate increased demand for return flights to Thailand.
🔹 Passengers wishing to change travel dates or times must contact their airline directly.
🔹 Ensure all travel documents are prepared in advance to facilitate airport procedures and reduce congestion.
🔹 If you are unable to reach the airport as scheduled, please contact your airline for assistance.
In addition, Thai authorities have announced the closure of all border checkpoints with Cambodia starting July 24, 2025, due to intensified clashes along the border. All cross-border travel and transport by land are temporarily suspended, except for humanitarian missions.
The rest of Thailand remains safe and fully open to travelers. Popular tourist destinations across the country, including Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, and Krabi, continue to operate as usual with no disruption.
