PSU Launches Two Innovation Products to Drive Commercial Research

Prince of Songkla University has unveiled two new innovation products developed from the university’s intellectual property, reinforcing its commitment to transforming academic research into commercial applications. The launch ceremony was chaired by Asst. Prof. Dr. Niwat Keawpradub, President of Prince of Songkla University at the Idea Tank, PSU Science Park, as part of the university’s strategy to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry through science, technology, and innovation.


The university stated that it aims to support researchers in protecting intellectual property and developing innovations that can meet market demands and create economic value. The initiative is managed by the Intellectual Property Center at PSU Science Park, which plays a key role in promoting and commercializing research outcomes for business and industrial use.


The two innovations introduced this year include a water-soluble tetrahydrocurcumin nanoparticle powder technology licensed to Cella Solution Co., Ltd., and dissolvable microneedle patch technology licensed to Innotech Wealth Co., Ltd.. University officials say the project reflects PSU’s growing role in driving innovation, expanding business opportunities, and supporting Thailand’s long-term knowledge-based economy.
