EGAT Showcases Clean Energy Innovations at COP30, Reinforcing Thailand’s Commitment to Net Zero

The Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) presented Thailand’s progress in clean energy technologies and greenhouse gas management at
COP30 in Belém, Brazil, emphasizing the country’s readiness to lead the transition toward sustainable, low-carbon energy systems. The organization highlighted pathways to achieving Net Zero emissions through advanced energy solutions and climate-responsive urban development.

Throughout the conference, EGAT engaged in dialogues focused on accelerating climate action through public-private cooperation and green investment. These discussions underscored the importance of financial mechanisms, technological innovation, and systemic transformation to support carbon-neutral growth and climate-resilient cities across Thailand and the region.

At the Thailand Pavilion, EGAT showcased key innovations including the Utility Green Tariff (UGT) for industries seeking 100% renewable electricity, and Small
Modular Reactor (SMR) technology as a future clean-power option. The showcase reaffirmed Thailand’s potential as a regional leader in clean energy and its commitment to contributing to global climate solutions.
