Passed New Standards Ensure Quality Frozen Thai Durian Exports to China Undergo Testing for Pathogens, Heavy Metals, and Prohibited Dyes Before Shipment

Thailand Continues to Advance! The National Bureau of Agricultural Commodity and Food Standards (ACFS) has announced strict new measures for exporting frozen durian to China, effective February 15, 2025. Every shipment must undergo quality testing in three key areas and submit a Test Report with each export.


1. Four types of pathogens (Salmonella, Staphylococcus aureus, Listeria monocytogenes, Escherichia coli)

2. Heavy metal cadmium

3. Ban on the use of Basic Yellow 2 dye
