On 9 February 2023, H.E. General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister of Thailand, delivered an initial humanitarian contribution of 5,000,000 baht (approximately 150,000 USD) from the Royal Thai Government to the Government of Türkiye, through H.E. Mrs. Serap Ersoy, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Thailand, at Government House. The assistance was aimed at supporting the Turkish relief efforts for those affected by the devastating earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş Province and neighboring areas in southern Türkiye. It was also a means to express Thailand’s solidarity with Türkiye during this difficult time.
