Changing the Name on a Bond Certificate - For Individuals

Bondholders who are individuals and wish to change their name on the bond certificate (first name, surname, title, rank, or position) can submit a request to register/change the name by themselves. The old and new signatures should match the signature samples provided to the Bank of Thailand, and the new signature should be signed along with the following supporting documents:

  1. National Identification Card (in the case of submission by mail, a copy should be provided, certified by the cardholder)
  2. Government or state organization official's identification card (in the case of submission by mail, a copy should be provided, certified by the cardholder)
  3. Passport, or a foreigner identification certificate can be used in case of foreigners (if documents are submitted by mail, provide a copy certified as a true copy by the passport holder)
  4. Registration/change of registration application
  5. Evidence of name, surname, or title change issued by a government agency
  6. Bond certificate

Note that the process of requesting a new bond certificate to replace a lost one, in the case of an individual, takes approximately 50 minutes in total. This depends on various factors such as the completeness and accuracy of the documents, the reviewer's decision, and the time taken to rectify the request. Once all procedures are completed, the outcome will be immediately communicated to the applicant at the office. In cases where applications are submitted by mail, the result will be communicated within 7 days from the completion of review. The fee for changing the name on the bond is 100 baht per bond.
