Thailand–Vietnam Business Forum 2026 Boosts Bilateral Trade and Tourism Cooperation

This afternoon (28 May 2026), Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul welcomed General To Lam, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam and President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, at the Thailand–Vietnam Business Forum 2026, held at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Bangkok. The event was organized to commemorate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Viet Nam. On this occasion, the Prime Minister also delivered a keynote address at the forum.

During the forum, Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), participated in an exchange ceremony for memorandums of understanding (MOUs) between Thai and Vietnamese government and business sectors. As part of the event, TAT signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Vietnam Airlines to promote tourism cooperation and strengthen air connectivity between the two countries.

The MOU is expected to enhance cooperation in economic development, trade, investment, and tourism, further strengthening Thailand–Vietnam relations as comprehensive strategic partners, which play a significant role in driving sustainable economic growth in the region.
