State Railway of Thailand Showcases Rail Innovations at Asia Pacific Rail 2026, Advancing Thailand as Regional Rail Hub

The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) participated in the Asia Pacific Rail 2026, presenting advanced railway technologies and modern rail innovations aimed at enhancing operational safety and efficiency. The event, held at Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC), highlighted Thailand’s ambition to become a major rail transportation hub in the Asia-Pacific region. The opening ceremony was attended by senior officials and representatives from Thailand’s rail transportation sector.

During the exhibition, SRT showcased its latest digital signaling systems designed to improve train control operations through automation and real-time data integration. The technology aims to increase operational accuracy, reduce accident risks, and support the growing demand for rail transport in the future. The exhibition also featured a railway signaling simulation developed by vocational students from the Railway Engineering School under the Railway Training Institute of SRT. The model demonstrated real-life color-light signaling operations controlled through computer software, reflecting practical applications used in modern train traffic management systems.

SRT stated that participating in Asia Pacific Rail 2026 provided a valuable opportunity to exchange knowledge and technological expertise with global rail specialists, while strengthening cooperation with leading domestic and international rail organizations. The agency emphasized that the continued development of signaling technology remains a key factor in elevating Thailand’s railway system to international standards, supporting economic growth, and reinforcing the country’s readiness to become a regional transportation and logistics center in the Asia-Pacific region.
