Severe Weather and Flash Floods in Several Regions of Thailand During 9-13 Oct

The Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) has issued a warning regarding heavy to very heavy rain in several regions from October 9 to 13, 2026. The forecast includes thunderstorms, strong winds, and possible hail, which may cause sudden flash floods and mountain runoff.

Heavy rainfall is expected to begin on October 9 in the lower Northeast, parts of the Central region, and the South. By October 10, rain will extend to Bangkok and nearby areas, with very heavy downpours likely in Rayong, Chanthaburi, and Trat. On October 11, the system will move, bringing very heavy rain to Phetchaburi and Prachuap Khiri Khan.
From October 12 to 13, heavy rain will mainly affect the lower Central region and the South.

The TMD also advises mariners to exercise caution, as waves in thunderstorm areas may exceed two meters. Authorities urge the public to monitor weather updates and prepare for sudden changes in weather conditions.
