Prof. Dr. Yodchanan Wongsawat, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), held a discussion with Japan’s National Institute of Technology (NIT) to strengthen cooperation in human resource development under the “All Japan” approach. The meeting was held during a visit by Dr. Nakashima Hideharu, President of NIT following his appointment to the position, where both discussed ways to advance Phase 2 of “Thai KOSEN” project after its first phase’s success.
DPM Yodchanan said the project has successfully produced graduates who are well accepted by industries, and planned to expand the KOSEN model to regional universities to develop high-skilled workforce and strengthen research in new areas such as semiconductors and space economy, while NIT will support by sending experts to provide guidance and knowledge transfer to ensure the long-term sustainability and international standards of KOSEN education in Thailand.
