A bold move by Thailand! The nation has signed MOUs for advance fruit trade, targeting export revenues of 300 billion baht by 2025. In collaboration with the private sector, the Thai government sealed 8 MOUs with trade partners from China, Japan, South Korea, and three other countries, amounting to over 2 billion baht. The agreements were finalized at the 6th annual "Thai Fruit Business Matching" event. This initiative aims to diversify markets and significantly boost the export value of fresh and processed fruits.
Three Core Strategies Propelling Thailand to Global Leadership:
Strategic Advance Sales – Securing purchase orders before harvest season to minimize risks for farmers.
Expanding Target Markets – Reaching new customers in 19 countries through over 65 buyers and distributors.
Aggressive Promotion – Leveraging campaigns with international retail chains and participating in global trade exhibitions.
Thai fruits that dominate international markets, especially in Asia, include durian, longan, mangosteen, mango, and processed fruit products. By 2025, Thailand aims to export over 4 million tons of fruit valued at 300 billion baht, solidifying its position as the "World's Quality Fruit Kitchen."
