Nakhon Si Thammarat Tenth Lunar Month Festival and Red Cross Fair 2026
The Tenth Lunar Month Festival and Red Cross Fair returns for a 15-day celebration from September 28 to October 12, 2026. Held at the City Park Ground and Somdet Phra Srinagarindra '84 Park (Thung Tha Lat), this annual festival honors ancestors and celebrates Southern Thai merit-making customs and folk arts.
Key Highlights:
- Grand Mharub Procession: The signature royal trophy Mharub parade and competition take place on October 10, followed by the main merit-making day (Song Ta Yay) on October 11.
- Cultural Competitions: Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Royal Cup Shadow Puppet (Nang Talung) contest, youth
- Norah performances, improvised poetry battles (Klon Sod), traditional food-making workshops, and the Preta puppet exhibition at the City Park Ground.
