DEPA and ETDA Join Forces to Drive Regional Digital Transformation for Sustainable SME Growth

The Digital Economy Promotion Agency (DEPA), in collaboration with the Electronic Transactions Development Agency (ETDA), has launched a regional platform to accelerate the “SMEs GROWTH: Transforming Thai SMEs toward Sustainable Growth” initiative. The program brings together public and private sector stakeholders to strengthen digital capabilities and enhance competitiveness for entrepreneurs in Thailand’s lower northern region, with activities hosted at DEPA’s Lower Northern Regional Office.

The initiative highlights a place-based Digital Transformation strategy, focusing on upgrading digital readiness and fostering innovation aligned with local economic contexts. ETDA emphasized its role in promoting and supporting secure electronic transactions, alongside setting future policy directions to help Thailand adapt to rapid digital change. The SMEs GROWTH program places strong emphasis on developing innovation and business models that respond to regional transformation needs, aiming to boost the competitive edge of local SMEs.

DEPA underlined its support mechanisms for entrepreneurs through the Digital Service Account, a tool designed to certify technology standards and help businesses select appropriate digital solutions. The agency also introduced available support channels for adopting digital technologies across business and industrial sectors.

The meeting benefited from strong collaboration with key provincial and regional partners in Phitsanulok, including commerce, community development, tourism, industry, chambers of commerce, and young entrepreneur networks. Participants exchanged practical insights and recommendations, with a focus on integrating data and resources across agencies to deliver tangible outcomes for local businesses.
